Opening in 1870 the theatre suffered a great fire that practically destroyed it, as time went by, because of abandonment and indifference, the building was almost in ruins.

In the middle eighties, the city of Malaga started the renovations and nowadays the Miguel de Cervantes theatre is to be celebrated for the wide range of performances that it presents to the public.

Yes, in this house in the plaza of the Merced Picasso was born , even though he left Malaga when he was still very young. Here they keep in the first floor, prints and pottery made by this city's most famous artist, on the ground floor there is a temporary exhibition of the works of other artists.

In the square there are several cafes, some of them internet, that play tribute to this great artist, this is a very pleasant and fun area, especially at night..


Aduana (old customs house)

The main neo-classical building in the city.

Designed in 1789 by the architect Manuel Martín Rodríguez, it was like the presentation of this architectural style in Malaga while maintaining some baroque details.

Currently the headquarters of the Civil Government in Malaga.
